There are many ways to achieve that, but I want to show you how to associate with the news and latest trends and events to get noticed. I not only noticed but making a great impression with a little help from others. The thing is, they do not even know, and it is FREE.

Try associating the product or service you promote with the hottest trend. Succeed, and you are bound to achieve great results. This is what most of the big companies will do. The thing is, they pay huge amounts for it, and you do not have to. Think of major events like the Olympics, the recent World Cup soccer, the NBA playoffs, the Superbowl, and I’m sure you know many more.

Let us use the Olympics. As I said, companies associate their product with the event. Brand XX will be the official drink; company So and So is chosen as the official sponsor, 123 inc will design the official shoe, etc. What are they doing? They link their product to something popular or in-demand right now.

Since not all of us have a couple of million dollars reserved for promotion and advertisement, let us look at how you can still use this method to our advantage. What you do is you work the trend or event into your sales letters to create an association. So how do you do that? Take a look at these examples to form an idea:

– “The techniques explained by Mr. ABC will teach you how to become the LeBron James of Online Marketing” – “Ladies, when you are finished with this diet, no one will even recall ANTM.”

I am sure you have seen this technique in actual life before. It is being done all the time. You need to apply it to your business. All you have to do is make sure you are aware of the latest news and know what is going on at the moment. It is that simple.

Some websites will alert you when new trends set in, or new stories are being told. Think of news.google.com, news.yahoo.com, msnbc.com, cnn.com, or wherever you get the latest info from now.

A suggestion: You can subscribe to their RSS feeds so you will be notified automatically when new stories come in. Instead of you looking for the latest trends and news, let the news come to you. This saves you time!

If you are involved in local business, make use of your local heroes. The college football team who made the playoffs, famous people who grew up in your area, Mrs. Smith who just won the lottery, anything that will appeal to people.

Another possibility. Let us tell somebody you know loves poker, and you are promoting a program on making money on the internet. You can merge the 2, so your program can be associated with their passion. Say something like, “This high stakes internet marketing program allows you to go all-in and make competitors fold by teaching you this step-by-step method to earn big profits online in the least amount of time.” If you are a poker player, you will probably formulate better than this, but you get the idea.

Again, this technique associates your product with your prospect’s passion.

You need to research what your customers like, what they are interested in, what is important. Luckily some many people and companies research this with surveys and other ways. All you need to do is check the results and determine what info you can use in your strategy.

Use search engines to find what information you need on your prospects and apply the technique I just showed you.
